  • Paul Oetken says:

I am a federal judge and I have a ticket on Delta to Mexico in August 2021 for a 9-day trip. I just realized that my passport expires in November 2021 (and it appears to be impossible to get it renewed in less than 12 weeks at this point).

Although Mexico requires only that a traveler have a passport that is valid during the stay – not for 6 months like many other countries – the State Department consular services office says I should “ask the airline whether I will be able to board” without a passport that is valid for six months.

Will I be allowed to board the Delta flight to Mexico in August?

    Many thanks.
